Overview

Business Support and Planning Officer

Full Time (35 hrs/wk), fixed term for up to 10 months (maternity cover).

Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with up to two days per week working from home

Salary range £30,000 to £33,000 pa plus benefits

We are looking for an organised, passionate, and student focused professional to join the University\’s busy Academic Registry team. You will play a vital role in supporting key activities to enhance the student experience, contributing to both project work and essential student lifecycle processes. With a strong focus on collaboration, service excellence, and compliance, this role is integral to ensuring a seamless and high-quality student experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of strategic objectives and key projects
  • Support the Implementation of new integrated degree apprenticeships
  • Coordinate and manage the University\’s academic calendar, including setting key dates and planning student lifecycle activities
  • Support the planning and organisation of graduation ceremonies
  • Assist the Head of Academic Registry with the preparation of papers and reports for deliberative committees

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience coordinating events or projects
  • Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Relationship-building skills across teams and stakeholders
