Overview

As a UX Designer, you will be a key member of the user experience practice, ensuring that all digital products and services are designed with the user at the core. This role will be instrumental in establishing and embedding UX, design, research, and accessibility standards across the team. You will deliver user-centric, data-driven designs that align with agile methodologies and enable the team to deliver value swiftly. You will also be an active member of the design community within Digital and Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver user-centric, data-driven designs that align with agile methodologies to enable the team to deliver value swiftly.
  • Establish and embed UX, design, research, and accessibility standards across the team.
  • Work across the Student Experience service teams to create and enhance a seamless and reliable digital experience.
  • Be an active member of the design community in Digital and Technology.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver iterative, user-centered solutions at pace.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable knowledge, experience, and passion for user-centred design, with expertise in a range of UX tools and techniques.
  • Experience applying design thinking and UX methodologies across the full product lifecycle.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate research insights, user feedback, and data into actionable design solutions.
  • Ability to mentor and coach designers and uphold high-quality design standards within teams.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and multidisciplinary agile teams to deliver iterative, user-centered solutions at pace.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of Β£39,644 – Β£50,925 per annum, dependent on experience
