Social Media: Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you will execute a comprehensive social media plan that aligns with our brand’s mission and vision. Mattr has an anti-hierarchy policy, so your input and ideas based on your personal experience will be encouraged and valued.
Planning : Own the implementation of social calendars, content management, content publishing and scheduling, and copywriting for all social platforms – running its day-to-day, weekly and monthly responsibilities.
Events : Collaborate on and support all company events and projects to maximise impact across channels.
Content Creation : Create engaging, on-brand content for various social media platforms, including text, images, graphics, and videos with tools like Canva, Photoshop and CapCut. A primary focus is short-format video content creation, specifically vertical videos optimised for social media. Vox Pop-style content is a key focus for our business. If you are confident shooting community-based content, this would be a big plus.
Community Management : Monitor and engage with our online community, fostering relationships, addressing concerns, and driving engagement.
Youth and Pop Culture Expertise : Stay up-to-date with the latest youth and popular culture trends to keep our content fresh and relevant.
Influencer Collaboration : Work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing to identify and collaborate with influencers and partners to amplify our reach and brand visibility.
Analytics and Reporting: Analyse social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns. Make data-driven decisions with the support of the Head of Marketing for continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong understanding of all major social media platforms and trends.
- Proficiency in design and editing software, such as Canva, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Video content creation skills, with an emphasis on vertical video optimisation for social media (in-app content editing is sufficient)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
- A passion for youth culture, popular trends, and dating.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Experience in community management and relationship-building.
