Salary £17 per hour, Invoice or PAYE options available.

Hours: This role requires on-site and evening work at Staffordshire St, with a commitment of at least 8 hours per week - primarily on Thursdays OR Wednesdays (for our regular programme), 2.30 - 22.30.

  • Opening up, making sure the space is accessible, clean and well kept.
  • Welcome visitors to STST, representing and introducing the organisation, creating a friendly, inclusive and accessible environment.
  • Facilitate the success and smooth running of STST Public programming, actively supporting delivery.
  • Work to build long-lasting in-person relationships with partners and artists.
  • Actively engage with visitors, collect feedback and survey responses, and contribute ideas to enhance audience experience.
  • Monthly meeting with the programming team to debrief and strategise, assisting to develop evaluation frameworks, learning outputs, and communications strategies.
  • Support Marketing and Communications Manager with updating ticketing platforms, listing sites and STST website.
  • Basic video/photo documentation of events for use across social media helping to promote and speak about STST’s programme.
  • Be part of STST Roundtable (quarterly event) to share ideas and thoughts on how STST can develop and the wider landscape in which it operates.
  • Administrative tasks that support STST public programmes and operations.
  • Run STST Bar including setting up and serving drinks for the duration of the shift if applicable, cleaning down the bar and locking up at the end.
  • For Duty Manager (Private Hire) hours that are undertaken; Manage FOH team and room set ups incl. basic technical preparation for hires and events.
  • Ensure the smooth running of activities, handling any issues that arise, ensuring best practices are followed in regards to STST H&S, Fire Safety and Safeguarding Policies.

Skills and Experience Required:

The Programme Facilitator is an important facilitation, operational delivery and front of house role that oversees events at Staffordshire St. The role is practical and social, managing the on-the-day delivery of STST Programme supporting artists, producers and partners, offering an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of arts and music events. The Programme Facilitator is the welcoming face that partners and audiences come to know and trust - essential in fostering a vibrant and inclusive artistic community. They oversee smooth delivery of programmed events as well as engaging and evaluating activity to support impact reporting and programme development. The role also supports STST Marketing and Communication Manager with admin to promote, document and share STST’s Programme. To excel in this position, candidates should possess a background in arts engagement/activity, alongside experience in operational practices such as bar management and event delivery. The role requires solid basic IT skills for admin tasks and hands-on experience with social media platforms.
