The opportunity
We’re seeking a 0.5 Pathway Leader to lead the MA Fine Art Sculpture course at Camberwell College of Arts. This is an exciting opportunity to shape innovative pedagogy and curriculum that challenges traditional narratives within sculpture, while fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
The MA Fine Art Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts explores material and immaterial practice in the widest sense. Sculptural processes, whether traditional or non-traditional, lie at the heart of the course. From bronze casting to 3D printing, plastic, metal, woodwork and ceramics, making is facilitated in well-equipped workshops run by highly experienced technicians.
At the heart of this leadership role is the responsibility to ensure that the course content reflects the rich diversity of our student community and responds to both local and global contexts. You’ll draw upon these creative leadership skills to manage innovative delivery in collaboration with academic and technical colleagues across MA Fine Art Photography, Drawing Computational Arts, Painting and Printmaking including special guest lecturers and external events.
The role places strong emphasis on holistic student support, encompassing pastoral care, academic development, and meaningful collaboration with colleagues to ensure a vibrant and responsive teaching environment.
About You
You’ll hold an undergraduate degree in Fine Art or a closely related subject, along with a higher degree such as an MA in the same field. You’ll have experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment and your approach to teaching will be inquiring, innovative and reflexive, with a clear commitment to inclusive and critically engaged education. You’ll possess strong leadership and collaborative skills, essential to the dynamic delivery of teaching, learning, making and exhibiting. You’ll have a nationally/internationally recognised professional creative practice, underpinned by demonstrable technical skills and a track record of innovative problem solving.
