Hours 37.5 per week to include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays and other unsocial hours where necessary
- To play an active role in the development of innovative and effective marketing and communications campaigns for a range of production and live performance activity across Shoreditch Town Hall’s artistic programme.
- To provide centralised press, marketing and communications support for all activity part of the artistic programme, liaising with partners as necessary.
- To work with the Head of Marketing & Communications to ensure that all campaigns are delivered, monitored and evaluated to an exceptional standard, liaising with members of the team as necessary.
- To take responsibility for the ongoing management of the Town Hall’s website (with support from the Head of Marketing & Communications), ensuring accuracy and quality at all times.
- To lead on the content, scheduling and management of all social media activity.
- To support the creation and implementation of regular digital content in support of specific marketing and communications campaigns, including digital mailings and blog posts.
- To work with the Head of Marketing & Communications and the Town Hall’s external Press & PR Consultants on all press and communications strategies relating to Shoreditch Town Hall, liaising with the CEO as appropriate, and ensuring that maximum coverage of the Town Hall’s artistic programme, event hire facilities and general news is achieved at all times.
- To support the Head of Marketing & Communications on the compilation, drafting and proofing of press releases and announcements.
- To ensure clear and consistent communication of the Town Hall’s brand at all times.
- To assist with the administration and management of the Town Hall’s Box Office system, Spektrix, including selling tickets, coordinating group bookings, setting up events and productions, administering promotional offers and discount schemes, processing comp tickets and reservations, and briefing Box Office staff.
- To support the Head of Marketing & Communications on the management of relationships with third party ticket sellers and papering agencies.
- To support the Head of Marketing & Communications on Box Office reporting and analysis as required.
- To work alongside the Head of Marketing & Communications and Events Department to support marketing and communications strategies for event hire activity, actively sustaining and heightening existing relationships whilst building new clients at the same time.
Skills and Experience Required
- We’re looking for a friendly and motivated individual: someone with great communication skills, an eagerness to learn and passionate about our work, who is prepared to get stuck in and make a significant contribution to the Town Hall.
- Good knowledge of and interest in the performing arts sector and wider London arts and cultural scene.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing successful marketing campaigns within the context of the wider arts and cultural sector.
- A proven track record of delivering successful marketing activity across all marketing channels including social media, email and in print.
- A high standard of written and verbal English.
- Demonstrable copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills.
- Strong numeracy skills and an ability to interpret data to inform campaigns
- Great customer service and general communication skills.
- A systematic and creative approach to problem solving, with a can do attitude.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently.
- Strong ability with all Microsoft Office programmes.
