Job Description:
Staffordshire St. CIC is a dynamic, inclusive arts space with artists studios, in the heart of Peckham, South East London. We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team and work across all areas of communications. This exciting role leads on St St.’s press campaigns, marketing strategies, members and patrons’ schemes, digital platforms, ticket management and asset production. It ensures wide promotion for all our exhibitions and events, as well as developing audiences, and supporting income generation. We are seeking a highly organised individual with previous experience in developing arts or cultural marketing campaigns and supporting members or patrons.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Develop and lead an effective communications strategy, delivering marketing and PR activity across all platforms, which reflects the organisational ambitions and ensures wide-ranging engagement and impact.
- Manage press packs for exhibitions and events, writing press releases, developing assets, and working with press to gain relevant coverage and promotion.
- Deliver and grow our Members and Patrons scheme, including: relationshipmanagement, correspondence, administration, delivery of events, monitoring and reporting on progress.
- Develop social media and manage all accounts, preparing images, video, and copy and incorporating SEO best practices.
- Support the production of all documents and marketing material using templates and graphic design assets, or liaising with partner designers and printers.
- Shape and realise an audience development plan, identifying and cultivating new audience groups, as well as growing digital audiences across all platforms.
- Populate listing sites and ticketing platforms, ensure all key communications channels are up to date, inspiring, and fit for purpose.
- Provide insightful statistics and evaluations on engagement and audiences, with clear analysis and recommendations for the wider team, funders and Trustees.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in marketing, press or communications within the arts or culture sector.
- A visual awareness and understanding of branding and design, with strong digital skills and experience of editing image/video files.
- Excellent copy-writing and editorial skills.
- An excellent team worker, able to work collaboratively but also independently on own initiative, prioritising workload.
- A proactive, energetic attitude to work
- Excellent communication skills with ability to build new connections and develop audiences.
- Knowledge of delivering a membership scheme and strategically working with donors.
