Opportunity to use your accommodation and tenancy management experience to play a key role ensuring University of the Arts London (UAL) halls of residence remain safe and secure and provide a supportive environment for students to reside in.
As Residence Manager, you will act as a main point of contact for accommodation services, providing onsite support to staff members and students alike, covering a variety of tenancy management matters and reporting health and safety concerns to UAL Accommodation Services.
Working from 8pm to 1am on Fridays alongside 8pm to 7am Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays you will be required to travel to UAL accommodation sites throughout London to provide onsite support, assisting the Senior Residence Manager in the delivery of operational services and managing a varied team of staff. You will also assist the Senior Residence Manager with monitoring the performance of accommodation partners, such as heating and water suppliers and maintenance contractors.
Your profile
You will need relevant experience of accommodation/tenancy management and associated activities, such as breaches of contract, disciplinary actions, inventory checks and damage charge management, in addition to service management experience, such as maintenance, regulatory testing and building defects. You will also need knowledge of accommodation management software, alongside familiarity with CCTV software management systems, in addition to familiarity with keycard security access systems.
The ability to lead and motivate staff, such as Residence Assistants, is essential, as is the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
