Haberdashery London is an award winning design studio & lighting brand based in Greenwich, London. As a Junior Product Designer, you will be involved primarily in the customer service design process, developing tailored solutions from the Haberdashery collection.
You will interpret project requirements, develop bespoke compositions and components, and use Rhino, Grasshopper and Fusion 360 to create accurate 3D models for design proposals and technical information.
You will also be responsible for producing clear and accurate production information, ensuring that designs can be understood and manufactured correctly.
The role requires a balance of design sensitivity, technical understanding, problem solving and attention to detail as well as an awareness of the luxury interiors market.
You will work across multiple projects and will need to understand how design decisions affect aesthetics, manufacture, cost, installation and the wider project programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Senior and Midweight Designers to develop tailored lighting solutions from the Haberdashery collection.
- Interpret customer and project requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
- Develop bespoke compositions, configurations and components where required.
- Explore and develop solutions that balance aesthetic, technical and manufacturing requirements.
- Produce design proposals and 3D models to communicate proposed solutions.
- Produce technical design packs for manufacturing with a high attention to detail.
- Ensure designs remain consistent with Haberdashery’s design language and quality standards.

- Work with colleagues to deliver exceptional performance, inspiring our customers and colleagues
- Work with colleagues to deliver the brand across all our internal and external output
- Work with colleagues to analyse and improve company processes, working with other departments and stakeholders to implement change
- Proactively engage with personal development plans aiming to improve performance within the role
- Understand and proactively engage with all relevant software and systems.
Skills and Experience Required
Requirements:
- Engineering or Architectural background considered with applicable portfolio
- 1+ years experience in a similar role within the design industry
- Good working knowledge of software applications:
- Rhino 3D modelling and drawings ( Essential )
- Grasshopper (Essential)
- Fusion 360 (or similar) 3D modelling and drawings (Essential)
- Keyshot Rendering ( Essential )
- Adobe suite
- Excel / Google sheets
- Design for Manufacture and Assembly knowledge is preferred
- Architectural space modelling experience and ability to interpret drawings is preferred
- Lighting and Electrical knowledge is preferred
- Must be London based or able to commute to SE London
