UI Designer Responsibilities at Glass Coffee
- Enhance E-commerce Experience: Create wireframes, high-fidelity UI mock-ups, and interactive prototypes in Figma. Optimise user flows, layouts, and mobile responsiveness for Glass Coffee’s e-shop.
- Design Social Media Assets: Develop engaging and on-brand Instagram templates, motion graphics, and visual content highlighting our traceability and transparency stories.
- Develop Corporate and Presentation Materials: Craft polished presentation decks, investor pitch slides, and internal documentation.
- Maintain and Evolve Brand Consistency: Apply and refine our visual identity guidelines – including colours, typography, and imagery—across all digital and physical touchpoints.
- Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with the Product Owner, two senior remote UI/UX Designers, and a senior full-stack Developer to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
- Incorporate Feedback and Iterations: Actively participate in design reviews, implement stakeholder feedback, and apply insights from user feedback and analytics to refine final designs.
- Prepare and Manage Production Files: Export optimised assets, maintain organised design libraries, and clearly communicate specifications to developers and content teams.
- Design and Publish Email-Marketing Templates: Create on-brand HTML/email templates for newsletters and automated customer journeys.
- Monitor and Apply Industry Trends: Stay updated on emerging UI trends, design tools, and best practices, proactively suggesting improvements to keep Glass Coffee at the forefront of digital innovation.
Skills and Experience Required
- UI portfolio demonstrating solid visual-design principles applied to websites or e-commerce interfaces (coursework or internship work acceptable).
- Figma proficiency and familiarity with component libraries, auto-layout and responsive breakpoints.
- Ability to create on-brand social-media graphics for Instagram.
- Working knowledge of typography, colour theory and accessibility (WCAG basics).
- Attention to detail plus the discipline to manage version control and organised file structures.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication for remote collaboration in English.
- A keen interest in any of the following: coffee, storytelling, marketing, branding, and/or technology.
- Familiarity with any of the following tools: Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator or After Effects.
- Exposure to lightweight motion-design tools such as After Effects, LottieFiles, or Figma Smart Animate.
