As Compliance Support Coordinator, you will support the coordination and tracking of compliance activity across UAL’s higher-risk halls of residence, partner accommodation buildings and nomination halls. Working closely with the Interim Head of Accommodation Services, Residential Operations Managers, Residence Managers and colleagues in Estates, you will help ensure that operational compliance tasks are appropriately recorded, monitored and escalated, while operational responsibility remains with the relevant Residence Managers and wider Accommodation Services teams.

You will play an important role in maintaining and organising building safety documentation and certification, tracking actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments, Building Safety Assessments and wider High-Risk Building work, and helping to ensure that operational updates are shared appropriately with key stakeholders. The role will also support the development of clear processes, standard operating procedures and good practice across Accommodation Services, with a particular focus on information flow, assurance and operational readiness.

Your work will contribute directly to stronger compliance coordination, assurance and building safety information management across the accommodation portfolio, helping to ensure that services remain safe, well governed and aligned with UAL’s wider operational and strategic priorities.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and well‑organised compliance professional with a strong track record of supporting compliance coordination, assurance or safety‑related activity in a complex property or service environment. You will bring a good understanding of building safety, fire safety and compliance processes, together with experience of tracking actions, maintaining accurate records and working across multiple teams to ensure issues are followed up and information is shared appropriately.

You will be confident working with documentation, data and systems, and able to provide clear updates to managers and colleagues on risks, actions and emerging issues. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across operational and technical teams, helping to ensure that information is accurate, responsibilities are clear, and compliance‑related actions are monitored and escalated appropriately.

The role is not intended to replace operational ownership, but to strengthen coordination, oversight and the flow of information between Accommodation Services and Estates.

You will also be:

  • A clear and confident communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues across Accommodation Services, Estates and Health and Safety
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
  • Comfortable working with compliance documentation, operational data and action tracking
  • Able to identify risks, elevate issues appropriately and support timely follow‑up
  • Proactive, collaborative and motivated to improve compliance processes, information flow and operational assurance across the service
