Comprising six renowned Colleges and four Institutes across London, UAL continues to shape the future of art, design, fashion, communication, and performing arts. In the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject, UAL is ranked 2nd in the world for Art and Design for the seventh consecutive year, reaffirming its status as a creative powerhouse. Now is an exciting time to be joining UAL to take up this role. A 10-year Estates Strategy has been developed which will see the delivery of new campuses for London College of Fashion (completed in 2024) and London College of Communication (to be completed in 2027) as well as a period of estate transformation across our existing portfolio that ensures the UAL estate is fit for purpose, sustainable and provides world-class facilities and experience to our students, staff and partners. Following the appointment of new Associate Directors in the areas of Estate Development and Facilities Management in 2024, we are now embarking on an investment in the team that will see the appointment to c.25 new roles in these areas.
Reporting to the Head of Campus Services, the Campus Manager will be the key operational lead on site, ensuring the effective delivery of facilities services. They will oversee both directly employed facilities staff and contracted service providers, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused delivery that meets H&S requirements and supports UAL’s strategic goals.
The Campus Manager will lead the daily operations of facilities management, including cleaning, maintenance, security, and building services. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure services meet campus needs, drive improvements, ensure compliance, and develop best-practice policies. They will also support campus projects, contribute to business continuity planning, and lead the FM response to on-site incidents.
The successful candidate will have exceptional knowledge and a strong track record in delivering and leading best-in-class facilities management services, particularly within dynamic, high-footfall and multisite environments. They will be adept at building relationships with senior stakeholders and bring a customer-centric, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to their work. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, they will be an inspirational leader—motivating teams and upholding the highest standards. A deep understanding of health and safety, building compliance, budget management, and project delivery will be essential.
