Lighting Designer in Alton

Salary £23,000 - £36,000 per annum based on experience

Hours 37.5 hours flexi time per week

Location Alton, Hampshire and working from home.

Xavio are on the search for a keen Junior Lighting Designer to join our team and help support our market-leading luxury projects, whilst building their technical knowledge and studio experience.

We are looking for a creative, collaborative and proactive candidate with a passion for light, eager to work in the super-prime design world alongside leading Architects and Interior Designers.

Role purpose: Supports the design team in producing accurate, well-presented lighting design outputs while building technical knowledge and studio experience.

Typical duties: Drawing support, product research, fixture schedules, presentation material, meeting notes, basic calculations, and site assistance.

Our designers benefit from total flexi-time and a hybrid working arrangement, with the option to work remotely up to four days a week. While our head office and Country Design Studio are located in Alton, Hampshire (on the main rail line to Waterloo), most of our design team is based in London and the Home Counties.

Skills and Experience Required

Microsoft Office package (Word, Excell, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) basics, CAD basics, Adobe suite, communication, organisation, visual awareness, willingness to learn.

Preferred indicators: Relevant degree, portfolio, internship or placement experience.
