We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the finance department to provide administrative support and offer a high level of customer service for students and staff. The successful running of these organisations requires bars to be well-stocked, shops to be staffed, and sports teams to be kitted out. None of this can happen without the behind-the-scenes operations of the Students’ Union Finance Team.
The Finance Administrator will work closely with the Finance Assistants and the Head of Finance at the Students’ Union to complete everything necessary to put together the monthly accounts for the Union and Trading Company. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some work experience in a finance department and to join a welcoming and inclusive community.
This role involves a varied list of tasks, including:
- Processing requests for payment for student groups and staff members
- Raising and sending sales invoices and credit notes for the Students’ Union and Trading Company
- Entering relevant information into the company accounts programme - Sage
- Helping the Union Hub office in responding to general Students’ Union enquiries
