Overview

Employability and Careers is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to join the Professional Training team, specifically to support a small number of strategically important Postgraduate Placement programmes. The post holder will work closely with the Student Employability and Opportunities Lead, and relevant faculty Directors of Employability, to develop a consistently high-quality experience for MSc Data Science and MSc Cyber Security students seeking/undertaking work placements as part of their programme of study. Student Experience is the ultimate measure of success, but achieving this will be dependent on forging strong, long-term partnerships with a range of external placement providers.

Responsibilities

  • Support a small number of strategically important Postgraduate Placement programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Student Employability and Opportunities Lead and Directors of Employability to develop a high-quality placement experience for MSc Data Science and MSc Cyber Security students.
  • Foster and maintain long-term partnerships with external placement providers to support student placements.

  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of what students, staff and external placement providers require.
  • Proactive mindset, competent in the use of IT, and open to change.
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities, with adaptability and flexibility to changing workloads and priorities.
