Overview
Innovative technology support for Computer Science students is key to improving the student experience.
This permanent Technical Support Specialist role is based in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering and is central to our teaching and learning, supporting delivery and development of high‑quality, lab‑based teaching across Computer Science and Cyber Security programmes.
You will join a vibrant, forward‑thinking community of academics and technical specialists who are passionate about education and innovation.
Working across a broad range of technologies and projects, you will help identify and drive new solutions that enhance automation of assessment and feedback, enable staff to make best use of our on‑cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, and support students as they engage in practical security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, commission, support and maintain technology that underpins teaching and learning activities.
- Web development, scripting, and integration of solutions with the online learning environment.
- Configure virtual cloud provisioning and infrastructure to support security penetration testing and other advanced exercises.
- Enhance automation of assessment and feedback systems.
- Support staff and students with on‑cloud and on‑premises infrastructure solutions.
