Role Overview

Work with the Line Manager, academic and administrative staff to deliver a high‑quality, efficient service to students, staff and external clients through the Student Scheduling team, maintaining student, programme and module information and supporting staff in programme organisation while ensuring data integrity and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administration and management of activities related to the maintenance of programme, module and student data for one of three Faculties, ensuring data integrity, internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with academic staff and colleagues from the wider Chief Student Officer's Directorate.
  • Acquire and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the student records system (SITS) and timetabling system (CMIS) to work effectively and efficiently and contribute to process improvements.
  • Receive and process enquiries in a timely and courteous manner to contribute to the overall student experience.
  • Take forward actions on the basis of an agreed schedule for data maintenance, such as programme and module changes, and then enter changes within SITS.
  • Edit and produce accurate timetables and related data.
  • Apply current processes and procedures in line with University regulations and policy.
  • Support key student/Faculty events (such as open days, graduations).
  • Work closely with Senior Scheduling Officers to ensure the administration of Short Courses is conducted professionally and with attention to detail.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Administrative experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Ability to work to a high level of detail and strong customer focus.
  • Computing skills, in particular with databases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational ability.
  • Adaptability to different situations, well‑organised and methodical approach.

Employment Details

Fixed‑term position provisionally until December 2026.
