The International Student Recruitment team at the University of Surrey is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join as the International Officer for Operations. This role will be responsible for supporting the University of Surrey’s operational excellence and ensuring all systems related to recruitment of international undergraduate and postgraduate students meet the demands of the University’s operation. The role involves working closely with the Head of International Student Recruitment to ensure all systems are running efficiently, proactively trouble‑shooting any issues and making sure a wider ISR team is supported.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis role includes establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as ISR team, admission, faculties, marketing, finance, agents and other partners to ensure they are supported, and all systems are running smoothly.
Other Responsibilities Include- Be familiar with the Agent Quality Framework and key policies and procedures related to AQF.
- Pro‑actively check agents' files to ensure all documentation (contracts, agent application, references, BC’s training certificates) are in place and are in date, and coordinate with relevant regional teams to ensure all paperwork is accurate.
- Check the accuracy of the agents’ training certificates against the British Council database to ensure these certificates are in date, flag up the expired ones with a relevant regional team and ensure new information is provided to maintain the accuracy of the agents’ files.
- Frequently check the existing system for students raising agent related complaints and alert a relevant regional team of such cases to take further action.
- Communicate with the marketing/web team to ensure any new AQF information is live on Surrey’s website and other relevant social media channels.
