Surrey Sports Park are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Receptionist to join our climbing wall team. As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the facility.

Alongside standard reception duties, you will assist with various operational and maintenance tasks around the climbing wall, helping to ensure the centre remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reception and Customer Service – welcoming customers and visitors to the climbing wall, answering telephone and email enquiries, processing bookings, taking payments, and assisting customers with registrations, inductions and other enquiries.
  • Administration – Assisting with organising staff rotas, supporting management with admin tasks, monitoring and replenishing office supplies, keeping reception records and documentation up to date.
  • Facility Operations and Maintenance – Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised reception area and workspace, assisting with general facility housekeeping, support the climbing team with wall preparation and cleaning.
  • Health & Safety – Follow company health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe environment for staff and customers.

About you:

We’re looking for someone with excellent customer service and communication skills, strong organisational and time-management skills, confidence using booking systems, computers, and telephone systems. You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be a reliable, proactive and flexible worker.

Ability to undertake physical tasks, including lifting and moving climbing holds & equipment, is essential, while previous experience in reception, customer service or admin roles is desirable.
