The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer to join the Foundation Degree programme, teaching Accounting, Finance and Business Law related modules. As a Lecturer, you will be developing and delivering educational activities for the programme. Alongside the Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager, you will also contribute to the shaping and promotion of teaching and related research and external engagement activities related to the Programme.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive and specific experience teaching Accounting, Finance, and Business Law in Higher Education. You will need to be committed and able to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience for all students. In addition, strong teamwork, collaboration, and organisational skills are a must. Recent experience within related industry or professional practice would be considered valuable for this role.
