The Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing has over 150 academic staff encompassing pharmacy, medicine, nursing, psychology and biomedical, pharmaceutical, sport and environmental sciences, making it the largest in the University. The John Dawson Sciences Complex, featuring leading edge laboratory, clinical and CPD resources, offers a superb learning environment for students and a setting for enhanced engagement with professional, NHS and industrial partners. City Campus offers top class educational settings including The Living Lab, a unique, purpose-built environment reflecting the various settings of integrated care provision, including mock hospital ward, pharmacy dispensaries, consultation and examination rooms, clinical skills resource and a hi-fidelity simulation suite.

About The Role

This role will support the continual development and delivery of the Sunderland School of Pharmacy undergraduate and postgraduate provision, ensuring excellence in student experience both on campus and off campus, and in the practice setting.

You will engage with teaching, reach-out and research programmes in clinical pharmacy and health related topics. We are looking for a pharmacist with significant clinical experience and with experience of teaching and/or research. Ideally you will be an independent prescriber with strong regional networks in clinical settings.

To be considered for this post you must be a registrant of the General Pharmaceutical Council with up to date knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice and current trends in teaching and learning. A teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake one, will be essential.
