About The Post

The School of Health, Sciences and Society is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Professional Assistant to provide professional support to the School Leadership and Management team. The post-holder will join the School at an exciting time, with the School launching in August 2025. The new School brings together our high-quality academic provision in Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health, Allied Health Professions, Sport and Life Sciences, Psychology, Counselling and Social Work and Pharmacy and Non-Medical-Prescribing.

About The Team

This fast-paced role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential administrative support to colleagues across the school, working closely with another professional assistant and reporting to the School Manager. You will work closely with colleagues to support the day-to-day running of the School.

You will play a key role in supporting our dynamic team, including diary management for the Executive Dean, and undertaking a number of secretarial and administrative duties, including producing internal comms, organising school-wide events and meetings, and assisting in procurement as we build and shape this exciting new school.

You will also be expected to engage with a range of colleagues across the institution, as well as students, partners and stakeholders.

About You

You will have excellent organisational, communication, problem-solving and IT skills, as well as experience of diary management, organising events, clerking meetings (including the collation and distribution of papers) and handling enquiries. We are looking for someone who is also highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in Higher Education administration and enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.
