Job Title: Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Manager

Hours: Part-Time, 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE (22.2 hours per week)

Salary: Β£37,694 to Β£42,254 per annum pro rata, Band 5 (pay award pending)

About The Post

This role focuses on providing high-quality enterprise and entrepreneurship support to students and graduates, helping them explore self-employment, develop business ideas, launch start-ups, pursue freelance careers, or grow existing businesses. You will provide expert advice and guidance through one-to-one support, workshops, bootcamps, in-curriculum delivery and innovative events, designing engaging opportunities that build commercial confidence, develop entrepreneurial skills and inspire students to turn ideas into action. You will respond to the diverse needs of our student and graduate community, creating an accessible and inclusive enterprise offer that encourages participation and ambition.

About The Team

  • The Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Manager will be part of the Careers, Employability and Enterprise (CEE) Team which sits within the Directorate of Careers, Commercial and Academic Partnerships.
  • The Team consists of Employability and Careers Consultants, Work-Integrated Learning Consultants, Employability and Enterprise Officers and a Data Analyst - all with a real passion for ensuring that our students achieve to their full potential.
  • The Team is friendly and collaborative, encouraging innovation and new ideas.
  • The Team benefits from agile working, with on-campus time of around 60%, however this will vary according to the time of the year and when students are on campus.

About You

  • You will be creative, proactive and commercially minded with experience of enterprise, entrepreneurship or running a business, who can inspire students to explore their ideas. You will be a confident communicator, able to build relationships across the University and with external partners, while bringing fresh ideas, practical experience and an inclusive, student-centred approach to developing innovative enterprise opportunities.
