A unique exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced analyst/developer to operate at a senior level within the Library and Research Systems team of IS Business Systems at the University. You will want to bring your expertise and experience to bear in delivering the University’s Library, enquiry, and IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. As an enthusiastic, innovative, and experienced analyst/developer, with a mix of high-level business analysis and technical skills, you will play a lead role in delivering these systems for the University.

We are seeking someone with the following experience:

  • Specifying and implementing complex IT systems.
  • Business analysis including requirements gathering, translation, specification, and stakeholder driven prioritisation.
  • Process mapping, development and improvement using Structured methodologies and toolsets.
  • Managing systems support and configuration.
  • Developing solutions in SQL.
  • Delivering system to system integrations.
  • Organising and leading customer focussed meetings for managing change.

Desirable to have but not essential:

  • JavaScript (Angular, React).
  • HTML5, CSS3.
  • MS toolsets for Teams, Power Automate, Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Project management (Agile/Prince 2).
  • Managing the support and relationships with system suppliers.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes for IT Incident and Change management.
