The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) seeks to appoint a competent and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant with excellent organisational skills to join our busy team. The successful candidate will join the administration teaching team, which provides support to the departments' UG & PGT programmes, in particular our Biomedical Sciences programmes. SIPBS has approximately 1,800 UG and PGT students.
Applicants should be IT literate with experience of Microsoft packages. Prior student administration experience in Higher or Further Education sectors and knowledge of student record and admissions systems would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting administrative functions for the UG and PGT programmes
- Organising workload
- Maintaining accuracy
- Working under pressure
- Juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
- Using own initiative
- Assisting departmental timetabling using SPlus and Enterprise software
- Supporting international programmes, assisting with the administration for our Chinese Pharmaceutical University (CPU) in Nanjing and Middle Eastern University (MEU) in Amman
Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good team working skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to cope with rapidly changing circumstances.
