We are looking for an experienced professional to lead and manage our Engineering Services team, providing clear and concise guidance across key areas of expertise, including:
- Building and facilities management
- Servicing and maintenance
- Calibration of capital equipment
- Commissioning and installation of specialist equipment
- Capital construction projects
You will be responsible for overseeing health and safety activities across these areas, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation. The post holder will also hold significant financial responsibility, including the management of extensive multimillion-pound budgets. You will be responsible for the approval of budgets for large and time-sensitive items, delivering reports and recommendations to the NMIS senior management team, COO, and CEO.
The successful candidate will have a degree in a related discipline (e.g., science, engineering, project management, building services) or equivalent relevant experience. A Chartered Engineer status is desirable, as well as Project Management and Health & Safety certifications. You should also have extensive technical engineering and project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects while managing multiple projects concurrently. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role.
