This is an exciting and strategic role within PNDC, responsible for managing and delivering a high-impact innovation project in the aerospace sector. Initially focused on a single programme, the role is expected to evolve beyond the end of this project if PNDC’s PMO function grows and its project portfolio expands.
The post-holder will be the single point of accountability for the successful delivery of a major project, coordinating across technical teams, industrial partners and, where appropriate funders, to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will shape and refine project management approaches that enable PNDC to deliver sustainable, commercially effective, and impactful innovation.
To be considered for the role, you will:
- Have a proven track record in project or programme management, successfully delivering complex R&D or innovation projects within industrial, energy or related technical sectors.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and coordination abilities, adept at managing multiple stakeholders and driving delivery across technical and commercial objectives.
- Possess excellent communication and writing skills, with the confidence to influence decision-makers and contribute effectively to strategic planning and delivery.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to plan, conduct, and lead project activities with minimal supervision, while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

PNDC is one of the University of Strathclyde’s industry-facing innovation centres, focusing on test and validation to accelerate the development of next-generation power networks, decarbonised heat, and decarbonised transport solutions.
