The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciencesseeks to appoint a Research Associate in TranslationalBioanalysis to join an interdisciplinary research team developingand evaluating innovative biologics, nanomedicines andadvanced therapeutic platforms. Working within a dynamictranslational research environment, you will contribute to thedevelopment, optimisation and application of analytical methodsfor the characterisation of biologics and complex pharmaceuticalsystems.
You will possess a science-based education to PhD level, withexpertise in bioanalysis, pharmaceutical sciences, analyticalchemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline. Thesuccessful candidate will have substantial laboratory experiencein the application of analytical techniques for the characterisationof biological molecules, nanoparticle systems, proteins,antibodies and/or advanced therapeutics. Experience in methoddevelopment, data analysis and interpretation, and the operationof advanced analytical instrumentation is essential.
Working collaboratively with academic, clinical and industrialpartners, you will support multiple research projects, contribute topublications and funding applications, and assist in developingnew analytical capabilities within the research group. You will behighly organised, motivated, and capable of workingindependently whilst contributing effectively within amultidisciplinary team.
This post is of 24 months duration in the first instance and maybe extended subject to project funding.
