This is a great opportunity to kick-start a career in Human Resources, at an exciting time for the HR Directorate with the recent launch of a new HR/Payroll system and new Document Management system. You will have the opportunity to shadow and be involved in a host of other activities such as policy development, the launch of a new People Hub, project work and HR business partnering to give you amazing experience to take forward in your career.

Working across the HR teams, you will provide effective and efficient secretarial and clerical HR support, assisting with the smooth running of the HR office and providing support to other members of the office when necessary. The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, enthusiasm, personal responsibility and initiative consistent with the grade of the post.

The Modern Apprenticeship programme is co-ordinated within the University and gives the successful candidate an opportunity to “earn and learn” as you will achieve an SQA qualification over the course of the 2-year programme. Please note that as a result of funding rules, Modern Apprentices must start the scheme before their 20th birthday.

The University of Strathclyde operates a hybrid working model however due to the training requirements for the role this position will require full-time attendance on campus 5-days per week until certain training is complete. Following this, a more flexible working pattern may be agreed on occasion.
