Responsibilities
- Support Estates Services staff in managing statutory compliance associated with activities that support the delivery of a multi-million-pound capital and maintenance programme to improve the quality of facilities for staff and students across the University Estate.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the University's Asbestos register, providing advice and assistance on all asbestos-related matters, including organising surveys and removal works and delivering training to those at greatest risk.
- Assist with the management of other statutory compliance functions within Estates Services, including fire safety, legionella, construction activities, and health and safety training.
Qualifications
- Asbestos Surveying or related background with significant relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, using initiative.
- Knowledge and experience of using IT systems to support report writing and data gathering.
