The Opportunity: NMIS is seeking a dynamic Commercial Events & Front of House Manager to drive a new income stream from our state-of-the-art facilities and deliver a seamless visitor experience for the 7000 visitors that come through our doors every year. Since opening its flagship facility, NMIS has welcomed nearly 10,000 visitors and hosted over 65 meetings and events for external bodies. As we mature as an organisation, we are now ready to commercialise our event and meeting spaces ensuring that we deliver a first-class experience for all visitors.
This exciting new role will lead the front of house team, including hosts and reception staff, and oversee all aspects of venue management, external bookings, and client engagement. Reporting to the Head of Corporate and Marketing Communications, the postholder will lead the operational implementation and day-to-day management of venue and events services. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to shape and implement a strategy to monetise our spaces, assist with developing appropriate processes and procedures and implementing necessary systems of work. You will also be responsible for managing stakeholder visits.
Sitting within the NMIS Communications team, this post will play a key part in developing and delivering a professional, welcoming, and commercially effective front of house operation — balancing revenue generation with delivering an exceptional service.
