The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) is seeking to appoint a Front of House Host to join the front of house team welcoming colleagues and visitors from around the world to our world-class 12,000m2 flagship building at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland, next to Glasgow Airport.
The successful candidate will serve a number of operational support services primarily within the NMIS Netherton building. They will be the first point of contact for all visitors and will have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring external meetings, visits and events run smoothly, and all attendees receive a first-class experience.
The host will work closely with the colleagues across the NMIS group and will play a key role in the front of house team.
The role incorporates working on reception, being the first point of contact for all visitors and people wishing to utilise our facility, setting up rooms, basic audio-visual support, booking meeting spaces for colleagues and customers, assistance with wayfinding in the building and general use of the facilities and liaising with colleagues from across the group to ensure the smooth running of meetings, visits and events.
This post is essential to the effective operation of the NMIS flagship building, and will appeal to motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised individuals with an eye for detail, a calm and professional demeanor, ability to work on own initiative and experience within a conferencing or events environment and a flexible approach to their work.
