Ross Priory seeks to appoint an experienced Assistant Hospitality Operations Manager (AHOM) to assist the management team. Ross Priory is a 12-bedroom, 17th Century Country House, owned by the University of Strathclyde and located in Gartocharn on the banks of Loch Lomond. As well as serving breakfast, bar meals, restaurant lunches and dinners, Ross Priory hosts weddings, conferences, and events.
The ideal candidate will be an existing Assistant Manager or hold recent Assistant Manager experience with strong business and financial awareness who is used to managing teams within intimate hotel settings. This post requires the knowledge and ability to get involved in all aspects of operations and build on the strengths and reputation of the existing team.
Reporting to the General Manager at Ross Priory, the AHOM will be one of two assistant managers with operational management responsibilities, team development, health and safety, and food hygiene focuses. We are looking for a positive and motivational person who is energetic and flexible with a proven track record of operating and providing the business with customer needs and driving continuous improvement and financial accountability to ensure the provision of first-class catering services which exceed customer expectations.
You will be an experienced people manager, who can coach and develop the team to achieve their potential, despite not always being co-located. Exceptional organisational and communication skills are essential, as is attention to detail. The ideal candidate will currently operate at a managerial level in a higher education or high street/venue hospitality environment.
