Accommodation Services is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Allocations Coordinator to join the team on a fixed-term maternity cover basis, to support with the allocation process for places in the halls of residence. The role-holder will be required to have an understanding of marketing methodologies and will coordinate the publication of information designed to attract students to stay in University Accommodation. The role-holder will be responsible for organising the allocation process, from the first point of contact through to arrival. They will also be required to assist in the wellbeing of students in residences and offer advice and guidance on issues students may encounter in their accommodation, liaising with and signposting to the relevant support services. The role-holder will support and contribute to the improvements to software and IT systems required in order to deliver a seamless electronic student allocation process. They will be required to contribute to the planning of annual workloads to deliver information, services and advice to applicants, parents and other stakeholders in line with the recruitment cycle of the University. As part of the University's commitment to enhancing the student experience, the Allocations Coordinator will occasionally support the planning and coordination of events and initiatives that foster a welcoming and vibrant student community. This role requires strong organisational, communication and IT skills. Candidates should demonstrate a good understanding of the needs of young people from all over the world and knowledge of the delivery of services within an academic environment.
