This is an exciting opportunity to join the Resources and Library Systems Team as a Library Resource Assistant. The team plays an essential role in shaping the experience of students and staff at the University of Staffordshire, provides technical and admin support for library systems and delivers high quality access to our resources. This position focuses on ensuring operational effectiveness within library learning spaces and promoting student success through effective information and guidance.
Location: Stoke Campus
Salary: £24,900 to £27,644 Per Annum
Type: Permanent Full time
Main Responsibilities:
- As part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for supporting preparation, access and maintenance of digital and print library learning resources and the physical Library spaces at the University.
- Library Learning Spaces and Systems support: Contribute to the daily operations of library learning spaces and systems, ensuring timely access to required resources for all users.
- Reading Lists: Follow appropriate processes for reading lists, acquisitions and digitisation ensuring accurate support for Learning and Teaching.
- Inclusivity and Accessibility: Ensure that all library services are accessible to a diverse user base and operational processes reflect this.
- Promotion and Marketing: Support communications, publicity and marketing to promote library resources and services.
- Administration of Library Collections: Assist in the administration of library collections, including license agreements, and stock management to ensure compliance and optimal resource usage.
