About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity within our Infrastructure Team (Estates function), to join our dedicated Portering Team. This role is crucial to the delivery of the various services and functions within the university and is a front-facing and customer service lead position.
Main Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to requests logged in the Enterprise Service Management system ("Solve") for portering and facilities support, and update task completion within the system.
- Transport items and equipment between working areas or campuses as required.
- Drive company vehicles on and off campus safely and responsibly.
- Elements of postal and package delivery services.
- Effective and efficient use of resources.
- Assist with building security procedures, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Support the Soft Services team with additional duties in University areas as directed.
- Assist during emergency situations, including fire alarm evacuations.
- Report and record serious maintenance issues for resolution by trades staff or external contractors.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
