We are seeking a highly professional and customer-focused individual to act as the main point of contact within the University’s flagship building. This role is pivotal in ensuring an outstanding experience for all visitors, including students, staff, alumni, and external stakeholders. You will oversee space bookings across the Stoke campus and support the delivery of a wide range of internal and external events, working closely with the University’s events and conferencing teams. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the University’s events function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-of-house leadership: Act as the central reception contact for the University’s flagship building, delivering a professional, welcoming, and high-quality customer experience at all times, including during peak periods and major events.
  • Visitor and stakeholder support: Provide a responsive and efficient service to both internal and external enquiries. This includes greeting visitors, managing deliveries, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring guests are promptly connected with the appropriate colleagues.
  • Event delivery support: Act as a front-of-house presence during events, supporting event set-up, ensuring spaces are presentable and well-maintained, and gathering feedback to continuously improve the experience.
  • Health and safety compliance: Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and Event Management Plans, ensuring all events meet required safety and compliance standards.
  • Commercial promotion of facilities: Proactively promote the University’s conferencing, events, and space hire offer to visitors and stakeholders, supporting the growth and success of the University’s commercial activities.
