Overview
This is a practical, operational role supporting clinical simulation and education through handling and setup of equipment and manikins, assisting teaching sessions, and ensuring facilities are safe and ready for use.
Salary: £24,900 to £27,644 Per Annum - Full Time Permanent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, operate and troubleshoot patient manikins, clinical equipment, observation cameras and immersive environments behind the scenes.
- Support teaching sessions and scenarios, including equipment setup, maintenance and repair.
- Assist with stock control, general technical support and daily running of the facilities.
- Work collaboratively with Technical Instructors and other team members to deliver and develop services and training.
- Ensure all facilities are safe and ready for use for teaching and learning activities.
- Understand and adhere to relevant health and safety and quality standards in a busy, hands-on environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Practical, reliable and organised with strong problem-solving skills and a technical background.
- Experience in clinical simulation or a comparable technical setting is desirable.
- Ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment and support teaching and learning activities.
- Willingness to perform equipment setup, routine maintenance and fault troubleshooting.
