We are seeking to appoint a Cashier to join the Financial Accounts Team within Financial Services.
About the role
The Cashier will provide a comprehensive banking service for the University and its subsidiaries. The role involves daily processing, input and reconciliation of monetary receipts, ensuring accurate record‑keeping in line with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The University offers a remote working policy, allowing flexible working on campus or remotely.
Main responsibilities
- Receipt and processing of all monies, issuing receipts and ensuring timely banking of income.
- Uploading electronic bank statements and reconciling statement lines to the general ledger using the cash management function.
- Investigating and resolving queries from students and staff, liaising with colleagues across the University as required.
- Investigating and reconciling assigned suspense accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring all work complies with financial controls, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar cashier or financial processing role.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Oracle Financials or Oracle Fusion preferred.
