The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint an exceptional Senior Communications Manager to join its award‑winning Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs team, supporting the University of St Andrews Business School at a pivotal stage in its development.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, with a dotted line to the Dean of the Business School, the postholder will lead and deliver strategic communications to enhance the School’s profile, promoting its research excellence, academic expertise, and distinctive contribution to global business education.

Working closely with colleagues across the University, you will shape and amplify the voice of the Business School, developing high‑quality, creative, and engaging content across multiple channels. You will communicate complex research and teaching in clear and compelling ways to a wide range of audiences, including prospective students, media, policymakers, staff, and the wider public.

You will identify and lead opportunities to promote the School’s research and impact at local, national, and international levels, supporting student recruitment, accreditation, and global reputation. The role includes responsibility for integrated campaigns, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications, ensuring a coordinated and strategic approach aligned with University priorities.

As an experienced communications professional, you will bring excellent storytelling skills, sound judgement, and a data‑informed approach, with a strong track record of delivering high‑quality content and campaigns across multiple platforms. You will be confident working with senior stakeholders and operating in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications all‑rounder with a flair for creativity to play a key role in shaping the voice and reputation of the University’s newest School. Previous experience of communications management and strategy development at a senior level is essential.
