The School of Chemistry are seeking to appoint a skilled and highly motivated part time (0.8FTE – 29 hours per week) Postgraduate Administrator to provide day-to-day support to the large postgraduate community within the School. The post holder will work closely with the Director of Postgraduate Studies as well as the postgraduate students to provide pro-active and professional support and advice regarding all postgraduate matters.

Reporting to the School Coordinator, the post holder will be expected to be supportive of change and to adopt a flexible and cooperative approach to continuous improvement of operational process and monitoring.

The successful candidate will have exceptional organisational, administrative and communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working. They will be a self-starter who is able to plan, organise and prioritise their workload effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment. A flexible, cooperative and solution-focussed approach will be essential to the role.
