The predicted salary is between 31650 - 37694 Β£ per year.

We wish to appoint a Lecturer in experimental physics within the School of Physics and Astronomy. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation in the applications of advanced materials and/or photonics, a clear vision for your future research and impact programme, and a commitment to delivering high quality teaching across Physics.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of research interests that complement those in the School, to have clear and credible plans to fund their work through grant applications which align with UKRI priorities, and to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds.

The School's facilities include an outstanding range of advanced fabrication and characterisation laboratories, and we would welcome applications from candidates whose research areas would benefit from these. Candidates should hold a PhD in physics or a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and a demonstrated interest in translation of their research are essential.
