Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position within the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. The work will involve the development of numerical simulations of high voltage cable systems, with the results written up as project deliverables and publications. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have, or be near to completion of, a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with a proven track record of publishing research findings. The candidate must be motivated, able to work independently using their initiative, and communicate well within a team. They must be able to organise time, tasks and responsibilities with other team members.
Experience
Experience with numerical methods, either analytically or using software such as COMSOL, MAGNET, Ansys is advantageous, but not essential.
