We have a long history of innovation in what we teach our students and we have a strong interdisciplinary tradition, reflected in investments such as UKRI Centres for Doctoral Training innovating at the boundary between Electronics and AI with a focus on Sustainability. Our research environment is world‑class with unique facilities such as the Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory and Zepler Cleanrooms. To support growth in the school, we are seeking to appoint new Lecturer (Assistant Professor) with expertise that complements our existing areas of strength. We would particularly welcome applicants whose expertise aligns with or complements that of our electronic and electrical engineering research groups and associated degrees.
You will contribute to our international research profile through world‑leading research, build your research team by developing bids for funding, generate research impact, and support more junior colleagues in their careers. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the high‑quality research‑led education that we are so proud of and support our inclusive and collaborative culture.
To apply, you will need a PhD, or equivalent professional qualifications, with a strong publication record, and able to demonstrate delivery of research‑led teaching in a manner that meaningfully engages students. It is essential that you have a track‑record of innovative research in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and have a desire to build a strong research team with our support.
