This is an exceptional time to be joining the University of Southampton and its Digital Learning Team within the University’s IT department, iSolutions, as a Media Producer. The Digital Learning Team is uniquely placed to support members of staff across the University to produce high quality teaching resources for our students. The iSolutions Digital Learning Team works in close partnership with faculties to enhance student education using learning technologies. Within the wider team, Media Producers create engaging, interactive learning objects and we are developing innovative mixed reality learning experiences. We work alongside Learning Designers and Learning Technologists to produce multimedia content and collaborate directly with academics, researchers and colleagues across all Faculties and Professional Services. This role is currently hybrid with future flexible options.

What you’ll do:

  • Operate professional video and audio recording equipment to capture high-quality content;
  • Plan, script and produce multimedia assets aligned with user specifications and requirements;
  • Collaborate with academic staff to create engaging media for teaching, assessment, and research;
  • Support colleagues across faculties and Professional Services in crafting promotional and community orientated material;
  • Stay current with trends and technologies in the Media industry to meet the team’s operational needs;
  • Maintain and update existing multimedia content to ensure relevance and accessibility;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and University policies.
