Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a Rehabilitationist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cochlear implant and auditory implant users. You will have a unique opportunity to further your career by using your clinical skills within a University setting, allowing you access to up-to-date research in this field.
Job type: Part‑time permanent (28 hours/week)
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored rehabilitation programmes for cochlear and bone conduction implant recipients
- Assess patient progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with audiologists, rehabilitationists, and other professionals to enhance outcomes
- Contribute to research and teaching opportunities within the university setting
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in rehabilitation for individuals with auditory implants or hearing loss (training will be provided)
- HCPC, RCSLT or equivalent professional registration
- Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused approach
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
