Overview
PIXEurope Scientific Programme Manager role at University of Southampton Malaysia. The CORNERSTONE Photonics Innovation Centre (C-PIC) team at the University of Southampton aims to translate silicon photonics technologies from research to everyday life by enabling ubiquitous silicon photonics solutions. CORNERSTONE provides a silicon photonics fabrication service to researchers and innovators worldwide, focused around our cleanrooms in Southampton, UK.
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager with a technical background in graphene and/or silicon photonics to join the EU-funded PIXEurope project.
Responsibilities
- Manage the PIXEurope project and team, including attending European project meetings and representing the project at relevant conferences and events.
- Lead a small team to develop a Process Design Kit (PDK) and characterize graphene on silicon photonics chips.
- Collaborate with project partners and the internal process fabrication team to advance technology development.
- Embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in all outreach, training, and marketing activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in European (or equivalent) complex large consortia project management and photonics device design, mask layout, and device characterization is essential.
- A PhD in silicon photonics is desirable.
- A proven track record in leadership and managing a team, with demonstrated experience in establishing a technology service, is desirable.
