Overview

USW have some outstanding sporting facilities at USW Sport Park and Treforest sites, that play an integral role in supporting academic delivery, providing recreational sport and well-being opportunities for USW Students and Staff, generating important sources of income from community and professional sport.

This is a full time post based in Pontypridd, with the post reporting to the Head of Sport Facilities & Operations.

Responsibilities

  • As the Team Leader: Operations you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Sporting Facilities, requiring an enthusiastic and customer focused approach.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the onsite Sports Assistants.
  • Seek to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction, ensure operations are delivered safely, and support and plan the co-ordination of site activity and bookings.
  • Support the Head of Sport Facilities & Operations in ensuring our Sporting Facilities provides an outstanding user experience for key internal and external stakeholders, using the sporting assets to generate levels of income aligned to annual targets.
  • Work closely with the Student Union to encourage use and participation, Academic staff for teaching requests/requirements, community clubs and professional teams based at the University.
