The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is looking for a talented, passionate and visionary Lecturer to join their Adult Nursing Team. The post holder will join an existing team of academic staff and contribute to mental health nursing provision, as well as a range of other modules/courses, programmes of scholarly activity, and research within the faculty. The post holder will also assume the role of module manager and clinical practice placement link for a number of areas that will be determined upon appointment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the assurance of a contemporary adult nursing curriculum, to the development of adult nursing programmes, and to the strengthening of interprofessional education across nursing, and health and social care.
- Deliver a range of services in an adult nursing environment, facilitating the learning of students.
- Promote academic enquiry that develops critical thinking in students; support safe, effective and evidence-based decision making, whilst developing expertise that supports existing and more established roles in health and social care settings.
Qualities and Experience
- Enthusiastic adult nursing practitioner with experience of working within a range of health specialisms.
- Relevant post‑registration professional experience delivering a range of services in an adult nursing environment.
- Active adult nursing registration with the NMC.
- Current experience of facilitating the learning of students.
Location
Based at Pontypridd, with an expectation to travel to other campuses as required. This is a full‑time, permanent post.
