Job Summary
Merthyr Tydfil College seeks an Estates & Facilities Officer to support efficient maintenance and security of the college premises.
The role covers reactive and proactive building and grounds maintenance within the Estates and Infrastructure department.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of college buildings and grounds.
- Ensure the security of premises and resources.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams and external contractors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong general building maintenance skills.
- Valid DBS check.
- Working Conditions
Shift work with an on‑call rota (currently 1‑week in 5). Position starts in late August 2026.
Salary
Salary ranges depend on grade
- Grade H – £58,226 per annum (minimum level of the scale).
- Starting hourly rate – £20.46 per hour.
